Description
Coriander an important spice crop, is a thin stemmed, small, bushy plant herb, 25 to 50 cm in height with many branches and umbels. It is known as cilantro in the US and Mediterranean, coriander in Asia and Chinese parsley in China. Leaves, stems, roots and seeds can be used.
Coriander belongs to the Carrot family and is a tropical crop. It is a native of Mediterranean and commercially produced in India, Morocco, Russia, East European countries, France, Central America, Mexico, and USA. Coriander seeds are the plant’s dried fruit.
